Spray drying scale-up and modelling techniques
GEA Process Engineering will be presenting at a practical course, hosted in the UK by the University of Leeds, to provide an introduction to the basics of spray drying, atomisation and industrial formulation. The course will take place on 24-25 March 2015.
Henrik Schwartzbach will deliver two presentations on behalf of GEA. He is a chemical engineer and has been working for GEA since 1992, specialising in R&D and process optimisation of drying processes. In the last 12 years he has focused on scale-up techniques within pharmaceutical spray drying and has developed an in-depth knowledge and expertise at the cutting edge of pharmaceutical spray drying. As Senior Process Technologist with GEA he is deeply involved in setting and improving the industry standards for the sector. On day one he will offer his thoughts and guidance on ‘The scale up of spray drying processes’; on day two he will be looking at ‘Modelling of the spray drying process using empirical inputs’. Both presentations will be interactive encouraging the audience to participate with questions and observations on the subjects. The last registration date for the event is 23 March. Bookings can be made to: cpd@engineering.leeds.ac.uk. www.gea.com
