Gentle bag palletising delivers safety, efficiency and presentational advantages
Beumer, Beckum, Germany, has supplied three high-capacity layer palletizers type BEUMER paletpac to leading dry mortar producer Schwenk Putztechnik. A further two machines were recently commissioned at the premises of the same company. All of them are equipped with Beumer’s twin-belt turning device which enables filled bags to be turned gently and stacked in the correct position on pallets, ensuring their dimensional stability. The twin-belt turning device can be rapidly adapted to various bag sizes (see also Industry News for week of 26 August 2013). “This device offers an immense advantage when compared with conventional turning processes”, said Peter Schmidt, manager of Beumer’s palletising and packaging technology division.
Apart from the advantages offered by the turning device, other reasons why this customer chose in favour of Beumer’s bag palletising technology are reported to include reduced maintenance requirements, more efficient production and an optimised stack configuration with regard to both stability and neatness. www.beumergroup.com
