Ball mill for ultra-fine grinding
Retsch, Haan, Germany, has introduced the Emax, an entirely new type of ball mill for high energy milling. The novel combination of high friction and impact results in extremely fine particles within a very short period of time. The high energy input is a result of an unrivalled speed of 2000min-1 combined with the innovative jar design. Thanks to the innovative water cooling system, the high energy input is effectively used for the grinding process without overheating the sample. Owing to the special grinding jar geometry, the sample is thoroughly mixed which results in a narrow particle size distribution.
Unlike other high energy ball mills, the Emax is capable of continuous grinding operation without interruptions for cooling. This significantly reduces the grinding time. With 90 years of practical experience, Retsch is a leading solution provider for neutral-to-analysis sample preparation and characterisation of solids. www.retsch.com
