Rotary valve for larger-size bulk items
To meet the demand for rotary valves offering a larger capacity, VDL Industrial Products, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, has introduced the model HT-450. This rotary valve offers possibilities for applications under cyclones or for separators and is especially suitable for situations where there is a need to transfer larger items such as shredded particles from plastic or wood.
The HT-450 has a gross capacity of about 35 litres/revolution and combines simplicity and ease of maintenance with robustness. Its housing is fabricated from cast iron and the valve is equipped with a rotor with eight chambers, ball bearing shaft and a direct-mounted flanged gear motor. In its standard version, the HT-450 is fitted with a steel rotor with steel or Vulkollan blades. There is a choice of Nord or SEW gear motor with an output of 1.1kW and providing 25 revolutions/minute.
