03.12.2012 Fritsch opens Beijing subsidiary

In addition to existing subsidiaries in Singapore and Russia, Fritsch Milling and Sizing, Idar-Oberstein, Germany, has now opened a branch in the Chinese capital of Beijing. At a formal ceremony attended by senior management, employees and partners as well as customers from various industries, Fritsch Beijing Scientific Instruments Co., Ltd was officially inaugurated on 24 October. Medium-term expansion of the new subsidiary is already planned, with further offices to be opened at a later date in Shanghai and Guangzhou. This latter location will serve the south China market as well as Hong Kong, no more than 120km away.
Fritsch, which has been exporting to China for more than a decade, sees this market as being divided into three segments, as sales manager Wolfgang Simon explained: “Customers are found in the areas of research, for example universities and governmental institutions; or Chinese firms which export into the EU and have to adhere to western standards prefer Fritsch instruments; but also multinational firms in China which are already familiar with our laboratory equipment and appreciate the dependability, enjoy working with Fritsch instruments, for sample preparation and particle sizing, here in China.” www.fritsch.de
