12.11.2012 Animal feed producer prefers square to cylindrical silos

SCE Silo Construction & Engineering, Lichtervelde, Belgium, recently installed a further four square-section silos at one of the plants operated by leading Belgian animal feed and petfood producer Versele-Laga. These are in addition to 12 smooth wall bins constructed on the site by SCE in 2004, each with a square section of 2.5 x 3m and a wall height of 19.5m. Following the latest increase in capacity, the silo block now offers a total volume of 2030m³.
The powder-coated bins were provided with slide columns, ensuring a perfect fit within the restricted area and resulting in maximum use of available space. www.sce.be
