Siemens acquires innotec
The Industry Automation Division of
Siemens announced on 22 August that it had reached an agreement, subject to
regulatory approval, to acquire innotec GmbH of Schwelm, Germany,
an international vendor of digital engineering software and services for
process industries. The purchase price was not disclosed.
With around 200 employees, innotec will become a
subsidiary of Siemens AG allowing the parent company to expand significantly
its portfolio of industrial software. www.automation.siemens.com
