Sugar refinery poses vibratory conveyor challenge

Rhewum of Remscheid, Germany, is currently manufacturing three vibratory conveyors to be supplied to the new 8000t/day sugar refinery being built for Nile Sugar Company near Nobaria, Egypt. This follows an order awarded by BMA (Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt) in May. Each conveyor will be about 10m long which presents torsional problems if consistent sugar transfer is to be achieved by the out-of-balance motors. They are scheduled to be commissioned in early 2009. www.rhewum.com
