Biomass handling installation at Ferrybridge

UK-based Portasilo Bulk Handling Systems has supplied integrated handling and storage plant for biomass fuel at Ferrybridge power station, owned by Scottish and Southern Energy. Equipment installed for handling wood pellets includes six Augerflo variable-speed feeders, a rotating screw extractor fitted to a 5000m³ capacity silo, chain conveyor, two screw conveyors and two 5m diameter day silos.
