High-efficiency gearboxes in lightweight aluminium housings

Nord, headquartered in Bargteheide, Germany, has introduced a new range of two-stage, helical-bevel gearboxes in lightweight diecast aluminium housings which are said to provide considerable energy savings compared with traditional cast-iron products. They allow builders of processing and handling plant to reduce costs by specifying smaller sizes of electric motor.
