EPAL pallets will be ISPM15-compliant by January 20=
10 From the beginning of next year, all new EPAL pallets from all EPAL partners worldwide will comply with ISPM15, an internationally agreed standard for= the treatment of wood packaging. It is progressively being adopted globally a= s a measure to minimise the risk of unintentional transfer of plant pests and fungal contamination. To qualify, all new EPAL pallets will be subjected = to heat treatment and kiln drying, maintaining a temperature of no less than= 56°C for at least 30min in a process similar to pasteurisation.
