High-capacity monitoring and sifting of
powders
Dinnissen Process Technology of Sevenum, the Netherlands,
has introduced XS4 Sifting, a new technique which allows large
volumes of powder to be screened at rates up to 70t/h. The key element of=
the
system, which will be exhibited at Achema, is a centrifugal sieve equipped
with a special feeding system to introduce material into the sieving cham=
ber
where it is fluidised by rotating blades. Fine particles pass through the
sieve, while those of a larger size are transferred to the back of the
chamber. With the right combination of rotor speed, sieve size and length
almost any screening result can be achieved. Even fine powders in the 5-2=
