Siemens gets antitrust go-ahead to acquire innotec

Following the recent completion of antitrust proceedings, Siemens reports that it has gained EU Commission approval for it to acquire innotec GmbH without any conditions being imposed (see Euro Industry News for week of 25 August). The company, an international vendor of digital engineering software and services for the process industry, is to change its name to Comos Industry Solutions GmbH. It will become a subsidiary of the Industry Automation Division of Siemens AG. www.comos.com
