ATEX-compliant transfer of dried sludge Braby, based in Bristol, UK, has just supplied an ad= vanced materials handling system as part of an extensive new sewage sludge drying operation for Wessex Water. The installation transports the dried sludge = from belt and drum driers by means of a pneumatic conveying system into two aluminium silos. The storage vessels then release the material via a telescopic chute and rotary device into waiting transport below. Braby was also responsible for design of all support structures, site wiring and control panels, all in full compliance with ATEX explosion protection regulations. www.braby.co.uk
