Successful handling of
aluminium trihydrate Braby of Bristol, UK, has just installed a system as part of a plastic compounding project which ensures reliable feeding of aluminium trihydrate, a very sluggish material with low bulk density which is prone to bridging. This required a unique cone angle to maintain flow once it had been initiated, flow being promoted by means of specially designed fluidisation pads. The system provided a delicate balance between flow and over-aeration, which needed to be avoided. www.braby.co.uk |
