Handling and recycling lead acid batteries

H J Enthoven & Sons, Europe’s largest single-site producer of recycled lead, has contracted Ajax Equipment to supply a range of solids handling equipment to help upgrade the smelting and recycling process for lead acid batteries at its Derbyshire, UK, factory. In addition to modifying storage hopper bottoms to improve reagent flow, the Bolton-based engineering firm is supplying screw feeders and conveyor systems to charge the main furnace. www.ajax.co.uk.
