Ajax screw conveyors for Portuguese PTA project

Ajax Equipment of Bolton, UK, has won an order to supply high-capacity screw conveyors to Aker Kvaerner Solutions for a new purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant being built in Sines, Portugal, for Artenius Sines. As reported in the European Market Intelligence section of the May/June EuroBulkSystems, the facility is scheduled to become operational in early 2010. The conveyors, featuring 316L stainless steel screws, will be gas-tight to accommodate a nitrogen purge atmosphere.
