04.05.2015 Sample preparation and particle sizing innovations

Fritsch, Idar-Oberstein, Germany, will be unveiling a number of new products relating to milling and size reduction at Achema next month (hall 4.1, stand J49). These include the new PULVERISETTE 14 ‘premium line’ extra powerful variable-speed rotor mill which offers impact, shearing and cutting comminution in one instrument with extremely fast sample throughput of up to 15 litres and more per hour. The machine ensures exceptionally quiet grinding with highest rotational speeds and is also very easy to clean, thereby facilitating reliable protection against cross-contamination.

Fritsch will also be showing a new stainless steel, corrosion-resistant version of its PULVERISETTE 19 universal cutting mill which is specially designed for analytical requirements in food and pharma industries. The company’s cutting mills are well suited for size reduction of soft to medium-hard, tough-elastic and fibrous materials. The samples are comminuted by cutting and shearing forces, and the selected sieve cassette determines the desired final fineness. Various knife geometries and replaceable blades ensure maximum flexibility and durability. www.fritsch.de
