09.02.2015 Latest DeDuster features automated inlet control

Pelletron, Lancaster, PA, has developed a DeDuster® with new automated inlet devices. This latest patent-pending development has been introduced as a cost-saving measure as well as to simplify operations. The new DeDuster feature was designed for cleaning large capacities of plastic pellets in polymer production plants or other granular bulk materials at throughputs from 18t/h to150 t/h for bagging, truck or railcar loading and container filling applications. The new device eliminates the use of expensive and heavy rotary valves that are normally used for feeding product into the DeDuster.

The automated inlet deflectors move to adjust product flow to the desired rate, evenly distribute product over the wash decks of the DeDuster and can shut down the product flow completely. Rugged pneumatic actuators with integrated positioners move the inlet deflectors to any position based on a control signal from the plant DCS.  Pelletron Europe is located in Bodnegg, Germany. www.pelletroncorp.com
