24.07.2017 Mixer produces powdered nutritional supplements and effervescent tablets

amixon, Paderborn, Germany, has developed a mixer which allows vitamins, micronutrients, functional active ingredients, aromas, food colourings, binding agents, etc to be homogenised in a micro fine process. The mixing chamber is filled with nitrogen, so that the mixing process takes place without oxygen. Hence, the ingredients are protected against oxidation. Even the smallest components such as vitamins, micronutrients and enzymes are homogeneously distributed. The mixing process is particularly gentle. Agglomeration is also possible. This enables the creation of functional powders and solid tablets with homogeneous porosity, even colouring and excellent solubility.

In the amixon® mixer, which will be displayed at POWTECH in September on Stand 304 in Hall 4A, an ideal mixing action is achieved by a three-dimensional total flow. Technically ideal mixing results are achieved very quickly after no more than 40-160 revolutions. The helical tool initiates an upward movement of the ingredients along the periphery.  A downward movement takes place in the centre of the vessel. This mixing process works quickly, reliably and without any dead spaces at different filling levels. Where required, choppers can enhance the liquid incorporation and homogeneity. The patented ComDisc® system enables an effective discharge of up to 99.99%. The company’s blenders  meet  the  highest hygienic demands and fulfill  all current  hygiene  regulations:  GMP (Good  Manufacturing  Practice),  FDA (Food & Drug Administration) and  EHEDG  (European  Hygienic Equipment Design Group). www.amixon.com
