26.06.2017 Martine Snels joins GEA’s executive board

GEA Group, Düsseldorf, Germany, reports that its supervisory board has appointed Martine Snels to GEA’s executive board with effect from beginning of October 2017. She will assume responsibility for GEA’s regions and countries organisation. Following her appointment, the company will be headed by an executive board consisting of five members. As of March this year it employed some 17,000 staff worldwide and generated about €4.5 billion consolidated revenues in 2016.
 
“We are delighted to welcome Martine Snels on board as a future member of GEA’s executive board; she is a leader bringing with her many years of experience in the customer industries relevant to GEA’s business”, commented Dr Helmut Perlet, chairman of the supervisory board of GEA Group AG.
 
Ms Snels, 48, is Belgian by nationality. She is a graduate agricultural engineer and has successfully held a number of management positions in various multinational companies in the food and agri-sector. She brings more than 20 years of global business experience while being based in Belgium, Singapore and the Netherlands. In 2012 she joined Royal FrieslandCampina where she currently serves as chief operating officer (COO) ingredients and is a member of the executive board of that company. www.gea.com
