Turkish cement plant equipped and supervised by single supplier
Beumer, Beckum, Germany recently won an order to supply 13 bucket elevators for the transport of cement, clinker and raw meal, as well as six apron conveyors and 13 silo discharge systems for clinker transport for a new 5000t/day capacity greenfield cement plant to be operated by Sycs Insaar Cimento Madencilik in Elazig, eastern Turkey. The order was placed by general contractor Bilim Makina.
Two high-capacity belt bucket elevators with a centre distance of 133m each are included in the scope of supply. They will be used for feeding the preheater tower with raw meal. Owing to the size of this plant, a conveying capacity of 500t/h is required. The equipment has now been delivered to site and is in the process of being installed by Beumer engineers, with the company’s centre of competence for the cement industry (see EBS News for week of 16 May 2016) assuming overall responsibility for the success of the project. www.beumergroup.com
