Magnetic separator for high-volume applications
Eclipse Magnetics, Sheffield, UK, has extended its Auto-Shuttle magnetic separator range to ensure increased efficiency for high-volume applications. Depending on product density, the unit can now provide high performance separation for processes with flow rates up to and above 100m³/h, and contains an ultra-high intensity rare earth magnet which enables it to remove the finest magnetic and para-magnetic particles from food, pharmaceutical or chemical processing lines.
The Auto-Shuttle enables screening of processed products 24/7 without any requirement for manual intervention. The system can even carry out a full clean without the need to stop the process, enabling continuous production. Suitable for use with dry powders and granulates, including flour, sugar, herbs, salt etc, the device is suitable for any vertical process line. It is supplied with a pre-programmed PLC that can either work independently or connected to the central control room for remote activation or monitoring. Eclipse can also manufacture to bespoke specifications, including added rows of magnetic rods for applications where the contamination has lower magnetic permeability or more frequent cleaning is required. www.magneticseparation.co.uk
